3rd Thursday each month at 7:00pm (on Zoom in winter months)
The Ministry Council shall be responsible for the general management of the church’s affairs. These responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: management of the church’s finances, endowments, memorials, budgeting, fundraising, planning, staffing, executing legal documents, planning and calling congregational meetings and public relations. The Council shall exercise appropriate fiscal responsibility. The Council shall be responsible for the coordination and supervision of the six standing ministries. The membership of the Ministry Council will consist of the pastor, the church’s elected officers, and the chairpersons or their designees, of each of the six ministries.
2nd Monday of the month at 1:00pm (or as called)
The Community Outreach Ministry shall be responsible for evangelism outreach, promoting congregant’s participation in local ministries, selecting and promoting special offerings, and designating funds for local, national, and world ministries, including, but not limited to the UCC 5 for 5 Special Offering program, and any other needs as determined by the Ministry Council.
3rd Friday beginning with a potluck at 6:00pm
Quarterly; 2nd Sunday after church
The Worship Ministry shall be responsible for assisting the pastor in planning and conducting Sunday and special worship services, arranging for worship speakers and leaders, recruiting volunteers to assist with the worship service and support tasks, and assisting with the decoration of the sanctuary as needed for regular and special services. The Worship Ministry will coordinate with the Music Ministry.
2nd Wednesday of the month at 2:30pm
Every Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm
The Music Ministry, in concert with the Worship Ministry, shall be responsible for overseeing the Church’s music program, assisting the pastor in planning music for the Sunday and special worship services, and arranging for organist and/or pianist for Sunday services.
Every Saturday 10:00-11:30am
The Pastoral Care Ministry shall be responsible, in conjunction with the pastor, to insure that visitation, communication, and building community is sustained with members and adherents. Such responsibilities may include, but are not limited to calling on the bereaved, the sick, and shut-ins in their homes and nursing homes, providing visitation training and pastoral ministries, such as Healing Prayer Services.
The Property Maintenance Ministry shall be responsible, within the guidelines of the budget, for the inspection, routine maintenance, and repair of the church buildings and property. “Routine maintenance” may include, but not be limited to: regular cleaning of the church buildings, lawn care, and snow removal.
The Christian Education Ministry, in coordination with the pastor, shall be responsible for planning, promoting, and conducting Christian education programs for children and adults. Such programs may include but not be limited to: Bible study classes for adults and children, Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School programs for children, spiritual development classes, and presentations and discussion groups on important religious and social issues.
